Resurrection reminds us there is only victory and love through Christ who gives us strength. We can put our trust in the result of the stone being rolled away by a Savior who faced the torture, cruelty, and hate. He knows the pain of all of that destruction and attempts to degrade his spirit. The world can attempt to dismantle the requirement of loving our neighbor, but sacrificial love through CHRIST wins. Loving others will always allow us to serve Jesus. Spreading lies, hate, otherness, and a lack of care of others is not the fruit of the Spirit. When we serve Jesus through loving well, the heart is ripe to receive God's grace.

Your opening paragraphs were absolutely beautiful. I heard the birds this morning and it was such a joy to hear in spite of the anxiety I was feeling at that exact moment. The new life of spring is old and yet new at the same time, as is true of many of our religious practices. But we come to them with hopefully greater wisdom, so in a sense it is new. How nice it must have felt to know your words on Easter moved others. You have such a gift with words, so I am not at all surprised. I hope the insights you gained over the past week continue with you moving forward. That really is the point of our most sacred days.

Thank you, friend. I’m so glad the birdsong this morning was a balm for you. I feel both things too. Grateful to journey in these tensions and tumultuous times with wise friends like you.

Such encouraging reminders that the seemingly smallness of our sorrow matters. I think I often don't take those moments for lament because they feel so insignificant in the light of what happening...but not only do I need them but this reminds me God values them.

And good point how much kids are paying attention and interacting regardless of whether we have conversations with them ourselves! And We Welcome and Women of Welcome and great resources!

If anyone is looking for another guide, my book, "Justice-Minded Kids: Bite-sized challenges to empower kids to practice justice, compassion, and love" is a great resource, too! (Or at least so I've been told 😉)

Blind support of anyone or thing is not part of my perspective

Whether or not one who invokes faith in God is sincere and real is a judgement call best left to God himself

There is nothing that proves that the POTUS or his team believes one race is superior over another (theyve continually indicated the opposite is true)

"Attempts to rewrite history and snatch away policies" was what was inherited from the past

Having Curiosity and compassion? (Ive been curious enough to delve into the actual truth and facts of horrible and uncompassionate events of past years and compassionate enough to support those God puts in leadership roles. )

Curiosity and compassion also needs strong leadership and purpose and as much wisdom (remember Solomon?) as can be expected of the current world leaders, Its a fallen world. Lets just hope and trust and pray that God really is in control.

My last post.May God bless all you kind people who try to make a difference)

(My last post, thanks for listening)listening)

Its disappointing that believers

Our country has been blessed by the current admin who is attempting to fix the inherited broken chaotic mess; showing them grace and peace as the new team publicly proclaims their belief and thankfulness to God and the country that is allowing them to do so as part of God's plan.

Nope.

I wish you well and hope for curiosity and compassion to find you. I also need to be clear that I do not agree.

Sorry, sister Cam...proclaiming beliefs is one thing, living out and loving from those beliefs is another. You are right that we are a chaotic mess and a broken country. We are a broken people.

Might those who orient their entire lives around Jesus say YES to redeeming and restoring ALL THINGS with Christ at the center. This will require all of us...not just an admin. May each of us show GRACE and PEACE and mimic Our Maker. Period.

Thank you Tasha for reminding us the little things are the BIG things and we all can play a part in the restoration work God is doing. Lord help us!

While you have a right to your perspective, I don’t believe blind support equates to progress. Simply invoking faith and intentions doesn’t excuse ineffective or harmful policies. Accountability matters, and it’s fair and necessary to question leadership rather than frame criticism as a lack of grace or faith.

I believe God is crying with us—his heart is broken with us and for those who are being torn from their homes, forced out of a country that was supposed to protect them. He is aching over an administration who believes one race is superior to others and snatches away policies and does not hesitate in their attempts to rewrite history.

Just because a person claims to believe in God does not mean they are in alignment with his will.
